Why do you support MS Australia?

Raising awareness is a key component of the drive to our end goal which is a cure for MS. In the meantime until a cure is provided it is also important to assist MS Australia to continue to provide support to those requiring their services.

What do you find appealing about the Melbourne Summer Cycle?

Get together with family, friends and colleagues to raise money for a good cause and have a great time whilst doing something active. The ride is a fantastic opportunity to ride over the Westgate, and enjoy the company of a wonderful crowd of people with a common goal and great entertainment.

How did you go about reaching your fundraising goal?

Friends in business such as "Jetmaster (Vic)" and "Lock & Key" used their business contacts to generate interest and support in Team Ez. I sent out information on MS, why I am doing the ride, what sponsoring means to me and links to online sponsorship to family, friends and colleagues. I also used facebook to let everyone know I was participating in the Melbourne Summer Cycle.

How easy and rewarding did you find fundraising?

Easy to set a goal, hard to get there, but once you do it's very rewarding. Team Ez fundraising was mainly done through word of mouth of friends, family and colleagues.

The ride is fantastic, with spectacular views from the Westgate and a great group of riders. After the ride we have a great catch up and soak up the atmosphere around princess park whilst downing a well deserved ice cold beer.

Most definitely!
